These schools are established in those areas where the government is not providing schooling facilities. The Education Support Scheme is a special initiative of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the objective of enrolling “out-of-school” children (OOSC) falling in the age bracket of 4-16. The scheme is for the areas where government is not providing schooling facility. New School Initiative (NSI) The program focuses on children in the areas where they do not have easy access to education facilities. The concept is cost-effective, compared to the existing per-student cost in the formal public education system. Moreover, under this scheme, schooling facilities can be provided in less time as compared to the time required for the establishment of a new formal school.
